August 23rd 2011 - Today is not only the 6 year anniversary of  the first Jack’s Mannequin record, Everything in Transit; but also 6 years since of the creator of the band, Andrew Mcmahon received a life saving stem cell transplant. I thought I needed to do some kind of Jack’s Mannequin “tribute” today.

Photographed:

  • Everything in Transit anniversary edition vinyl record & framed sleeve

  • Certificate of authenticity of the record signed by Andrew

  • Ticket from the Jack’s Mannequin show I went to recently

I somehow own two copies of this, and I no longer own a record player. I need to fix this soon.

June 2nd, 2006.

We were in the front row. I think he played 3 songs and did a 20-minute interview, it was incredible.

In 2006 I had this terrible bushy afro and acne and well, I was in highschool and overweight so I’m not going to post the pictures I got with them, haha.

The radio station releases a series of compilations that have one song from all of the bands that perform in the green room every year. They used this picture from the JM performance for the cd inlay. My ex and I are in the first row on the left haha.

Signed poster promoting the EIT tour. I have given away just about every autograph I had, this is my favorite though, and the only one I have kept.

I remember we were on the guest list but had already purchased tickets and for some reason we had four extra tickets we didn’t need so at some point we just started handing them out to people who couldn’t get in. It was priceless to see peoples expressions to being given free tickets to a show they couldn’t get into.

This day is still one of my fondest memories. It’s funny how things change.
